Hi Folks,
It is official!!! The Nelson High School 50th Anniversary Reunion is scheduled to take place September 20th, 21st and 22nd of 2007. According to the official 50th Anniversary website, www.nelson50th.ca, the Weekend Events planned include:
THURSDAY Sept. 20th
School kick-off assembly (Wall of Distinction introduced)
Golf Tournament
Golf Dinner
FRIDAY Sept. 21st
Decade Rooms
Football Game
Fireworks
Beer Tent (Nelson Arena/soccer field)
SATURDAY Sept. 22nd
Opening Ceremonies
Decade Rooms
Staff Lunch
Family Fun
Pre-arranged Sporting events (Hockey off site, soccer, )
GNP (Great Nelson Party)
They are expecting upwards of 5,000 former Nelson students to attend. If it is like the last one in 1996, it should be a fun weekend. You can download the Nelson High Contact Information Form from the website to fill out and send it in by fax or mail to let them know that you are interested in attending. I will keep you posted of any further developments or just click on www.nelson50th.ca for official updates. Hope to see you all there.
